Nominated five times for the Academy Award for Best Director, Cukor won his only Best Director Oscar for My Fair Lady. Contrary to popular belief, Kate and Audrey--despite sharing the last name of Hepburn--were not related, but Kate was known to affectionately refer to Audrey as her "little daughter."
